Thomand Park, Limerick will host Europe’s first Sports Tourism Summit on THURSDAY.

They’re We’re Aaron is calling it it the ‘Davos’ of sports.

There will be 11 expert speakers “worth €1.2b” advising on how to extract money from surfers maximise Ireland’s potential as “a sports-orientated tourist destination”.

Danish architects Gilfberg+Lykke’s concept art and location shots of ‘skatecity’ – a 4500 sq metre facility currently under construction in Haderslev, Denmark. At the heart of the skatepark, which features all manner of rideable terrain from verts and half pipes to platforms, rails and open space, is streetdome – an igloo-like structure with more bowls, a basketball court and audience seating.

An extra passionate Tipp supporter captured by Cyril Helnwein at the Allianz Hurling League Division 1 Final between Tipperary and Kilkenny on Sunday at Semple Stadium Thurles.

Sadly for the noisy scamp Kilkenny defeated Tipperary 2-25 by 1-27.
