The Terrafugia TF-X flying car is a conceptual design for a twin engined, 200mph, 1 MW, auto piloted air hooptie with vertical take off and landing (VTOL) and a 500 mile range.

When it’s built (in your dreams, our dreams and those of the designers), you’ll simply tell it where you want to go and it will take you there.

Hush now.

It’s a real thing that’s actually happening and that’s that.

Maximillian Busser and Friends, the manufacturer of this elaborate Star Wars TIE fighter inspired music box sez:

These lattice-like vertical wings support and protect the dual music cylinders, each playing three melodies: the theme tunes from Star Wars, Mission Impossible, and James Bond on the right and The Godfather, Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence, and The Persuaders on the left.

The music is powered by two independent movements mounted on the two tail sections. The side wings play a vital role in propagating sound vibrations down from the combs to the naturally amplifying resonant base, manufactured by JMC Lutherie.

Representations of famous artworks spawned from the artificial neural network released earlier this month by Google in an attempt to show how computers ‘view’ the world by recognising and emphasising patterns in otherwise abstract shapes.

It’s a little like the human phenomenon of pareidolia except with more nightmare fuel.

It’s called ‘deepdream art’ and it’s all over the Twitter, the Tumblr and the Reddit, should you wish to delve deeper.

Part of an ongoing photo series by artist Jakub Geltner entitled ‘Nest’, wherein flocks and gaggles of surveillance cameras, satellite dishes and other tech (normally associated with harvesting data) are perched on schools, quay walls and derelict facades around his hometown of Prague for the delectation of passers by.

One ride, 11,000 different experiences.

But enough about Bodger’s sex life.

This is about visual data.

Aimee Stewart writes:

Infographic Natives, in association with the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle, is asking cyclists to submit their anonymous GPS data to transform them into one stunning data visualisation as a record of our combined efforts on the day.

The Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle takes place on July 4th, starting in Killarney.

Details on how to submit data can be found here at Infographic Natives.
