Incredible 3D animals rendered as if by metal shards by South Africa-based Chinese street artist DALeast, who travels the world applying them (illegally) to public spaces with one eye peeled for the local rozzers. Sez he:
Life always give one troubles but my work gives me a lot of opportunity to face these troubles. Any situation can arise when you work in the public space. I hope I am creating illusions through my paintings that can be a switch for people’s minds. I like to express life-emotions and the environment, and use different artistic forms to speak. I prefer people staring at my work without saying any words – it means they are taking it in.

Growing up I always thought Tom & Jerry cartoons had music that was completely bonkers. Here it is performed in all it’s wonderful insane glory.
A medley of composer Scott Bradley’s 1940s and 1950s compositions for Tom and Jerry cartoons, performed live by the John Wilson Orchestra at the 2013 BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.

Although it’s getting the classic false equivalency treatment elsewhere it’s worth pointing this out. The Irish Times reports “Videos taken at the game against Stenhousemuir clearly records Rangers supporters singing songs praising loyalist paramilitaries and uttering chants about IRA hunger-striker Bobby Sands. The videos appear to show that some of the 400 soldiers, sailors and Royal Marines, invited to the match by Rangers in a delayed tribute to mark Armed Forces Day, joined in with the singing.”
Gulp.
Last night’s Emily Maitlis-hosted Newsnight on BBC2.
Macho spin merchant Alastair Campbell Vs unapologetic Daily Mail writer Jon Steafel.
Following Steafel’s article on Labour leader Ed Milliband’s father, Ralph and his “evil legacy”.
As opposed to Campbell’s evil legacy (Wake up SHEEPLE, etc.).
Richie McCormack tweetz:
“The worst of British values posing as the best” – Campbell, a bollox for sure, but this was a fine filleting.”
For the life of me I can’t see why,
The Democrats don’t at least try,
To meet them half way,
Oh why can’t they say,
They’re prepared to let some sick folk die.
