Behold: the 1975 De Tomaso Pantera GTS Prototipo – the archetypal hybrid of American muscle car and Italian mid-engined sportscar.
This particular GTS – commissioned by Greek industrialist Tony Mantas, a personal friend of Alejandro de Tomaso – was kitted out with a raft of custom extras starting with a white leather dashboard, no rear bumper and a lowered chassis and continuing with further modifications over the years, recorded in de Tomaso’s own handwriting and included with the sale.
Currently up for auction in Paris, accepting bids between €180,000 and €220,000.
A short by Dante Zaballa and Osian Efnisien which is also a ‘groundbreaking documentary that nobody was expecting’.
Look, just go with it.
A fascinating, beautifully shot, multi-award-winning short film by Maxwel Hohn documenting the early life of Western Toad tadpoles in a remote lake on Vancouver island.
Behold: what could be a very nice ad for what looks like a VW Tiguan, but isn’t. To wit:
Assembled in a 360 degree panoramic projection, the mosaicked frames were captured at January’s end along a quiet country road near Siemiony, northeastern Poland, planet Earth. The night was cold and between trees reaching toward the sky shine the stars and nebulae of the northern winter Milky Way. Near zenith is bright star Capella, a mere 43 light-years above the tree tops. Alpha star of the constellation Auriga the Charioteer and part of the winter hexagon asterism, Capella is a well-studied double star system. Follow the Milky Way above and right of Capella and you might spot the familiar stars of Orion in the northern winter night.
