Behold: the Dolni Morava Sky Walk – a wood and steel walkway craning over the edge of a cliff 1,100m above sea level in the Czech republic.
Created by Fránek Architects, the structure allows visitors to walk among the clouds or (weather permitting) lie prone on an open mesh floor at the top for vertiginous views of the the Morava river and Krkonoše Mountains before descending a 100m long, 18-storey stainless steel tube slide (enclosed, but featuring windows) all the way back to the bottom.
This afternoon.
Michael O’Riordan writes:
A deep bass throbbing got my attention and I tracked it down to the LE Niamh as she entered Dublin past the East Link bridge just now (2:05 pm). Apparently 14 metres shorter than her little sisters the Samuel Beckett and the James Joyce, the Niamh is still one hell of a good looking vessel!
Sexist pig.
Impulse: 30 illuminated see-saws currently on show at the Place Des Festivals in Montreal.
The see saws, which won the 6th annual Luminothérapie event last summer, generate a harmonious sequence of sound and light when they’re used.
But entirely plausible.

Flux: a 3D printed zoetrope sculpture created by German designers Dieter Pilger, Janno Ströcker and Frederik Scheve. Unusually, no strobe lighting is required to view the animation effect. Instead, the glowing surface appears to move when spun in regular light (or darkness).
The team credits the Fibonacci zoetropes of artist and Stanford lecturer John Edmark as their inspiration.
The Sacrificial Chair – a custom built, flat-packing chair frame with maximum hanging space for your dragged off ‘n’ dropped duds.
Or, for rather less than €140, you can just kick the seat out of your existing bedside chairdrobe.
Nest 06 – a new addition to artist Jakub Geltner’s nested CCTV installations – part of last month’s Sculpture By The Sea outdoor exhibition in Sydney Australia. More than a dozen functioning cameras near Bondi generated a live internet feed of viewers thoughout the exhbition.
